Nico, the first driver on the list, has loaded her 12 orders, and is carefully checking the bag labels against her order list to make sure there is no mistake.
Because all of the meals are pre-cooked, we cannot make many mistakes today: we only have so many spare rations pre-ordered. So we have made a slight change to our protocol: not only do we ask the drivers to triple check their order list at pickup time, but we are also asking them to try and verify, from at least 15 ft away, that the members actually do pickup the orders and that nothing is wrong.
In the mean time, back home, 6 to 8 members from all groups, customer care, ops managers, driver coordinators are gathered in the virtual “Ops Center,” in the Ops Manager Zoom meeting. Messages fly back and forth between drivers and ops managers. We end up with more than 230 messages during the run…
It was so great to see all the photos. What a lot of work and kindness went into this effort . It was so appreciated by everyone that got it. We were emailing each other with so much delight. Thank you all again.
