Use Paypal to donate to HelpBerkeley without transaction fee

If you wish to send us a donation using Paypal with Friends (only possible when you are not buying goods or a service), you will need to already have a Paypal account. Here are the individual steps:

• Go to Paypal.me/HelpBerkeley
  .

• click on the amount
  .

.

• Enter your donation, not forgetting to add 00 for the cents at the end!
  .

• Click the blue Next button, then log into your Paypal account
  .

• Important: uncheck “Paying for goods or a service” (otherwise we will pay a transaction fee)
  .

• After you unchecked the box, it should look like this

• Click on “Send Money Now”
  .

.

And you are done: thanks so much for your donation!

There was no box like that to uncheck but it said “change to Friend”
so I did that. Hope you escape the fee.
