I have a suggestion/question

I do not answer phone calls if I do not recognize the number. Is it possible to have the delivery person send a text rather than calling?


@Ket, we appreciate the problem! We do have over a hundred drivers. While we can try, it is impossible to guarantee that we will be able to do something that does not follow the regular procedure that we ask all of our drivers to do!

So we will try, without guarantee: -) But I think that on the evenings when you are expecting a HelpBerkeley delivery you will need to be ready to pick up, between 5:00pm and 7:30pm, phone numbers that you don’t know.

[EDIT] Possibly I misunderstood your question :slight_smile: If you mean that we should text everyone rather than call, that would not work as many numbers we are given are land lines, and a lot of consumers do not like to text or do not hear the text notification.

We do have a note for the driver to text you, so you will get a text at least some of the time!

A text would be wonderful for me too please, if it works for the drivers! Thank you so much for everything you do!

OK, @shifra, we put in a note for the driver to text you rather than call you :slight_smile:

But, as I wrote before, since this is not a SOP we can’t commit that it will happen always!

Actually, I’ve never gotten a call (and I don’t text), but I manage to see the delivery person out the window! (Yes, I realize not everyone can do that.)
